Friendly and accommodating staff. Loved the art deco style of the hotel. Stayed in an average sized double room, relatively big bathroom and very comfy bed. Appreciated the free bottled water in the room. Bus stop to / from the airport / city centre is across the road. On site restaurant was closed, but there is nearby curry house and Domino Pizza just around the corner. Walking to the city centre takes about 15-20 minutes.

We have stayed at Northern before . The staff are so friendly…on arrival the receptionist noted that I have difficulty walking (bad back) and she changed our room on her own initiative giving us a handicapped room. The continental as served was excellent quality and quantity. We enjoyed our stay enough to ask for a business card so we could book direct next time instead of going through bookings or any other agency.
