The Club meets on Monday Lunch time at the Aberdeen Northern Hotel
Our weekly meetings take place in a relaxed, informal and friendly atmosphere. We also arrange a social events and evening meetings where we enjoy the company of partners and friends.
We continue to support many groups in our community from schools to adult groups from kids out, primary schools quiz to a variety of other organisations offering hands on or financial help.
As a club we use our skills and expertise to make a difference in the community by being TRUE, in all that we do; being FAIR to everyone we deal; offering GOOD-WILL and FRIENDSHIP and making sure all our actions involved.
We support the main Rotary charity of Foundation, helping to fund many over-seas projects including Group Study Exchange and Ambassadorial Scholars supporting young people.
The shoe box scheme, Shelter Box and the Polio Immunisation programme have always been supported by our club members.
As a club, we have taken responsibility to help a Nursery/Primary schools in The Gambia to re-build a more permanent school with water, toilets and electricity. A project that will provide a future in a poor community for children and their families.
Many local groups from the young to older are helping us in this on going project.
We have enjoyed many activities that generate money to help charities we support and our own project.
These have included:
- coffee mornings
- charity shop selling
- race night
- car boot sales
We encourage members to come up with new different and fun activities that can help raise money and awareness for the groups we work with.
